Allegiant is expanding to four more cities to keep pace with growing travel demand.

Las Vegas-based low-cost airline Allegiant Air is expanding into four more cities as the demand for vacation travel continues to grow.

Allegiant is adding 23 new non-stop routes in time for the fall break and vacation travel season, including routes to four new destinations: Melbourne, Florida; Amarillo, Texas; Washington, D.C. and Minneapolis.

“Although it has been a slow increase since the beginning of the year, we have found that demand for the summer and beyond has risen sharply to levels near and even after 2019,” Allegiant spokeswoman Hilarie Gray told the US via email TODAY. “With nothing really unexpected happening in the travel industry, we expect it will continue to grow in 2021.”
The leisure traveler-focused airline has so far announced more than 75 new routes for 2021, Gray said.

While the airline generally aims to connect small and medium-sized cities to vacation destinations, Tuesday’s announcement includes routes where both cities could qualify as destinations, such as a direct flight between Nashville and Melbourne, Florida.

“These are routes that we hope will be popular with locals and visitors on both sides,” said Gray.
Allegiant offers one-way fares on routes starting at $ 39 for flights canceled before April 30.

Allegiant Air – The airline is targeting pandemic vacationers with flights to 3 new cities including Jackson Hole and Portland.
