Reported Bomb Threat at Luke Air Force Base as Arizona Police Investigate

The Luke Air Force Base tweeted on Thursday night security forces were responding to the threat and that people should avoid the area.

“56th Fighter Wing Security Forces is currently responding to reports of a bomb threat at the South Gate on Litchfield Ave,” Luke Air Force Base tweeted.

“We ask everyone to avoid this area until the threat has been contained.”

Glendale Police said they were called to the scene to assist the Luke Air Force Base and Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office regarding a suspicious vehicle and occupants, reported ABC 15.

Luke Air Force Base said they would be providing further updates vis their social media platforms.

Glendale Police, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, and the Luke Air Force Base have been contacted for further comment.
